Women's Soccer Shuts Out Tompkins-Cortland CC

Abby Godbout, Katelyn Simpson, Hannah Majka and Kelsie Gooding each scored a goal and Ariel Roys registered her fourth shutout of the season as visiting Broome defeated host Tompkins-Cortland, 4-0, in a MSAC women's soccer match Tuesday evening in Dryden.

Simpson, Miranda DeSanctis, Danielle Tyrrell and Kate Fagen all had an assist in the victory and Broome relied on its stingy defense to keep TC3 at bay most of the night.

With the win, the Hornets improved to 6-3 on the year and the Panthers fell to 4-5-1.

Roys had one save in net for the Hornets and Logan Eltz had five stops for the Panthers. Broome held a 9-4 advantage in shots and a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks for the contest.

Broome returns home on Thursday to host Jefferson CC at 4:00 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader with the men's squad.
