Hornets Shutout MSAC Rival At Home

SUNY Broome hosted the Lazers of Onondaga CC in a key MSAC matchup this afternoon at Alumni Field and came out on top 3-0.  Jolen Krom recorded her fifth shutout of the season in net for the host team. Nicole Harmer started the scoring in the 18th minute off a crossing free kick from Kaelyn Michitti placed perfectly at the back post.  In the 37th and 76th minutes Michitti added 2 more goals for a total of 22, good enough to lead the nation in goals as well as her team. The Hornets defense was tough all game long allowing only two shots on the day and no corner kicks The Lazers (5-6;3-3 MSAC) fought hard the entire game but couldn't penetrate the Hornets (9-1;5-0 MSAC) back line.

Broome will travel to Jamestown CC next Monday for a Region III matchup scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
