The women's soccer team fell to Onondaga CC on Wednesday afternoon, 7-0, in a MSAC contest played on Alumni Field. The Lazers have outscored their opponents 25-0 in their first five outings this year. The visitors wasted no time in the first half, finding the net in the 4th and 7th minutes. Their rapid offensive strikes set the tone for the opening half, putting the Hornets on the defensive. The rest of the first half showcased remarkable speed and skill from both sides, leading to several chances but neither team could come up with a goal.

The second half mirrored the first, with Onondaga's breakneck pace leading to three more goals in the 49th, 52nd, and 53rd minutes. Broome continued to face the threat of Onondaga's speed, resulting in two additional goals against them in the 69th and 75th minutes. Despite creating several opportunities, Broome was unable to convert and find the back of the net. Goalkeeper Crista Schanbacher was kept on her toes, making an impressive 13 saves throughout the match.

Broome's overall record dropped to 2-3 while Onondaga maintained their undefeated streak, now standing at 5-0.

Next up, Broome will travel to Jamestown CC this Saturday for a 1:00 P.M. Region III match against the Jayhawks.
