The women's soccer team fell to Mohawk Valley CC in Utica on Friday afternoon with a final score of 7-0. The Hornets started strong, applying pressure early in the game but faced relentless threats from the Hawks.  Mohawk managed to break the deadlock, finding the back of the net in the 29th and again in the 36th minute of the first half, heading into the break with a two-goal deficit.

The Hawks wasted no time in the second half, adding to their lead early and then again in the latter stages of the match. Broome keeper Crista Schanbacher was challenged often in the contest, coming up with 14 saves throughout the game. The Hawks outshot the Hornets 21-0 in the match to keep the visitors defense busy. Mohawk improved to 4-0 on the year while Broome now stands at 3-4.

Looking ahead, Broome is set to travel to Canadaigua this Sunday for a MSAC match against Finger Lakes CC with kickoff scheduled for 12:00 P.M.
