The women's soccer team has earned a berth in the NJCAA Region III Tournament and will host Jamestown at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

It was revealed Wednesday night that Broome qualified for the 2023 NJCAA Region III Women's Soccer Championships. After receiving a top-seven seed, the Hornets have the opportunity to play a home playoff game in the quarterfinal round this Saturday. The match will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Alumni Field. 

The #7 seed Broome will host the #10 seed Jamestown. The Hornets have already defeated the Jayhawks once this season, taking a 6-0 shutout win on the road. Lily Wlostowski netted two goals in that match, with Haley Beckwith, Laura Breigle, Courtney Seery, and Julia Burd also pitching in. The Hornets will enter the match with a 7-5 record from the regular season, scoring 22 goals on the year. The Jayhawks will travel to Alumni Field with a regular season record of 4-7-1, having tallied 15 goals on the year. 

With a win on Saturday, Broome would advance to play Herkimer College in the semifinal round on October 24 in Herkimer, NY.
