SUNY Broome won their first match of the season Tuesday evening in Watertown against Jefferson CC in three sets. The Hornets swept the Cannoneers by set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-20.
Megan Carden (Vestal) led the offense with 6 kills followed by Macey Gibson (Owego) with 5 kills. Mackenzie Struble (Owego) totaled 21 assists for the night. Melissa Carden (Vestal) came out with 3 aces and Savannah Davis (Union-Endicott) finished strong with 11 digs.
Broome will have their first home match this coming Saturday against Cayuga CC scheduled for a noon start in the West Gymnasium
