Broome earned another straight set win on Tuesday night in the West Gym, this sweep came against MSAC opponent Tompkins Cortland CC. The Hornets improved to 10-0 by defeating the Panthers with set scores of 25-16, 25-8 and 25-11. Tuesday's match was the seventh sweep against opponents in ten games for the Hornets.

 

Sara Zepkowski (Owego) had an awesome game leading the team with 10 kills and a .412 hitting percentage and teammate Macey Gibson (Owego) also contributed 9 kills to the match. Gibson also led the Hornets defense with 16 digs while Savannah Davis (Union-Endicott) contributed 12. Melissa Carden (Vestal) led the team with 4 aces and Mackenzie Struble (Owego) finished the match with 29 assists.

 

SUNY Broome is on the road this coming Saturday for a 1:00 P.M. Region III match against Genesee CC in Batavia.
