Volleyball Remains Undefeated

SUNY Broome improved their record to 8-0 with their fifth sweep of the season against Niagara County CC at home on Saturday. The match lasted just over an hour as the Hornets won all three sets by scores of 25-6, 25-7 and 25-8. This week also saw Broome move into the top spot of the Region III's Coaches Poll for the first time this year.
 
Macey Gibson (Owego) led the team with 8 kills, while teammate Melissa Carden (Vestal) followed close behind with 7 kills. Carden also contributed a high of 3 blocks in the match. Mackenzie Struble (Owego) dished out 29 assists and served up 5 aces. Kylee Cunningham (Johnson CIty) played an amazing defensive game leading the team with 14 digs, Savannah Davis (Union-Endicott) also contributed to the Hornets defense with a total of 13 digs for the match.
 
The Hornets are right back at it Sunday afternoon as they head to Jamestown to take on the Jayhawks at 1:00 P.M.
