Volleyball Wins Home Opener In Straight Sets

The women's volleyball team had their first home game of the season against the Spartans from Cayuga CC on Saturday afternoon in the West Gym and came away with a sweep by set scores of 25-9, 25-7, and 25-13.
 
Sara Zepkowski (Owego) led the Hornet offense with 8 kills and an outstanding hitting percentage of .500. Mackenzie Struble (Owego) dished out 32 assists and Savannah Davis (Union-Endicott) finished strong with 9 digs. Outside hitter, Macey Gibson (Owego) had a great game contributing 7 kills, 8 digs and leading the team with 6 services aces.
 
Broome's next match will be on the road in Syracuse against Onondaga CC in a MSAC matchup this Tuesday beginning at 6:00 P.M.
