Volleyball Earns 4th Sweep

Thursday evening the Hornets defeated Keystone College 3-0 in a non-regional match played in the West Gym on Sophomore Recognition Night. The night saw three "second year players" recognized for their efforts as well as the other five sophomores on the squad. The second year players were Alexandra Bachura (Johnson City), Kylee Cunningham (Johnson City) and Savannah Davis (Endicott). The match, named the Matthew Cunningham Memorial, also welcomed back ex-Hornet and new Keystone College coach Mae Eddinger.

Broome remained undefeated with the win, sweeping the Giants 25-16, 25-10 and 25-16. Cunningham led the Hornets in kills with 9 and service aces with 9, Macey Gibson and Sara Zepkowski chipped in with 6 kills each. Gibson added 13 digs to her lines while teammate Megan Carden added 10. 

Broome will host a Region III match on Saturday beginning at noon against Niagara County CC in the West Gym.
