Volleyball Picks Up Region III Win On Road

Broome took on Jamestown CC on Sunday and came out victorious with another sweep! The set scores were 25-16, 25-20 and 25-13. The Hornets finished the match with an overall hitting percentage of .312 and improved their record to 9-0.
 
Melissa Carden (Vestal) led the Hornets offense with 9 kills and an impressive hitting percentage of .500 while teammate Sara Zepkowski (Owego) followed close behind contributing 8 kills to the match. Both Carden and Zepkowski led the team in blocks with 4 and 5 respectively. Mackenzie Struble (Owego) had a great game, finishing the match with 32 assists, 5 kills and 2 aces. Megan Carden (Vestal) also contributed 2 aces to the match and Savannah Davis (Union-Endicott) led the team defensively with 14 digs. 
 
The Hornets will go on to host another match this coming Tuesday at 6:00 P.M. against the Panthers from Tompkins Cortland CC in the West Gym.
