The Hornets and Lakers played a tightly contested game through two quarters, as Finger Lakes led by six after one and then by five at the half. But, the Lakers outscored Broome 46-9 in the second half en route to the convincing road win.
Zephora Brouillete led the way in scoring with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. Madeline Hyzer pulled down a game-high 13 boards. Lillian Monroe contributed six points and seven rebounds. Kendall Farthing made two three-pointers off the bench.
The Hornets shot 11-45 (24.4%) from the field and 3-17 (17.6%) at the free-throw line.
SUNY Broome will carry a 3-16 overall and 0-10 conference record into its next game, Saturday at home at 1:00 pm, vs Cayuga.
