Juliana Turner, Lillian Monroe, and Kendall Farthing combined for 48 points but it was not enough to overcome the Cougars.
Turner flirted with a triple-double by logging 16 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds. Monroe, meanwhile, had 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Farthing scored 17 points, 15 of which came from three-pointers. Zephora Brouillette had six points and pulled down 11 boards in the loss.
The Hornets shot 38.3% from the field.
SUNY Broome fell to 3-18 and 0-12 in conference with the loss.
