The men's basketball team led Jefferson CC most of the game only to end up losing 84-80 in the waning minutes of the second half.
Between games the college honored the late alumnus, Bernard "Bones" Bensen, in the Baldwin Gym. In a March game in 1955 against Alfred Tech, Bones scored 63 points, a record that still stands today.
Broome will host a Region III contest against Hudson Valley CC this Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
