Women Fall To Nationally Ranked Team On The Road

The women's basketball team fell to nationally ranked Onondaga CC, 81-38 in Syracuse on Wednesday evening. The Lazers (21-3;8-0 MSAC) took advantage of the Hornets' (2-17;1-7 MSAC) turnovers, scoring 26 points. Cold shooting also hindered any type of response from the visitors, 26% from the field and just 7% from the arc.

Courtney Petticoffer and Ana Farahane combined for all but 5 of Broome's points. Petticoffer led all scorers with 17 points to go with her 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks, and Farahane had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Sam Britton led Onondaga with 16 points.

The Hornets travel to Auburn on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. game against the Spartans from Cayuga.
