SUNY Broome Comes Up Short Against Mohawk Valley

The second game of what was scheduled to be a doubleheader was postponed due to weather. It will be made up at a later date.
The Hawks plated two runs in the top of the 1st with a pair of singles. Broome answered with a run in the 2nd. Mohawk Valley would eventually extend the lead to 6-1. The Hornets moved to within 6-4 after the 5th inning. Then the Hawks plated three runs in the 6th and another in the 7th. SUNY Broome scored a run in the bottom of the 7th but could not pull off the comeback.
Santino Michitti and Jason Kithcart Jr. each had three hits in the contest, combining for six of the Hornets' 13 hits. Michitti was 3-4 with three RBIs. Kithcart Jr. was 3-4, including a double, with two RBIs. Jacob McTigue, Kobe Dela Cruz, and Nicholas Ragonese also had multi-hit efforts on the day. Dela Cruz had an RBI as well.
Nathan Moses was the starting pitcher for the Hornets and he allowed three runs over 3.0 innings pitched, walking one and striking out two.
With the loss, SUNY Broome fell to 9-18.
