
Baseball Lands Four On All-Conference, Two On All-Region
Four members of the baseball team were awarded with All-Conference designations while two were named All-Region.

Jacob McTigue and Santino Michitti were named to the Mid-State Athletic Conference All-Conference team. Kaiden Cannistra and Jason Kithcart Jr. were considered All-Conference Honorable Mentions.
McTigue was then named to the NJCAA Region III Second Team All-Region and All-East Division team while Michitti was named to the NJCAA Region III Third Team All-Region.
McTigue was a two-way star for the Hornets this season. He batted .328 with 22 RBIs, 46 runs, and 21 stolen bases. He also compiled a 6-3 record with a 3.54 ERA, only 22 walks and 73 strikeouts over 61.0 innings, and a 10.77 K/9; also picking up four saves.
Michitti led the Hornets in batting average with a .407 mark which was the 13th best in the region. He also led the team in RBIs with 33 and scored 21 runs. Michitti was routinely the team's everyday catcher, also playing a handful of games at first base and in the outfield.
Cannistra batted .333 on the season with 24 RBIs, 20 runs, and 14 stolen bases. He had a .444 on-base percentage.
Kithcart Jr. batted .275 with two home runs, 20 RBIs, 31 runs, and 21 stolen bases; compiling an on-base percentage of .405. He was also the Hornets' second-best pitcher in the categories of wins and ERA. He pitched to a 4-3 record with one save over 32.0 innings.
This season the SUNY Broome baseball team qualified for the postseason for the first time in a long time, advancing to the Sub-Regional round of the NJCAA Region III Tournament. The Hornets won 18 games this season, which is the program's highest win total since the 2001 season.
