The men's basketball team notched a second road win in a row with a 64-56 victory over Cayuga CC Saturday.

Broome is 2-1 on the year in away games, having put together two straight victories following a road loss to Genesee CC.

The Hornets started off cold on the road, tallying just 17 points at halftime, but they settled in and heated up in the second half en route to 47 points. Broome used strong defense to seal the deal in the second half in dominant fashion. The win moved Broome to a 3-1 record in regional play, and they are tied for second place in the Region III standings as the team heads into Thanksgiving break.

Connor Green recorded his fourth straight double-double with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Green had a few big-time buckets with under three minutes left in the second half to shift the momentum in favor of the Hornets. Antonio Maria finished with 15 points, 10 of which came in the second half, including a deep three-point conversion late in the second half.

Quavir Coleman provided quality minutes off the bench for the Hornets in the second half. Coleman provided high energy on the defensive end for Broome, adding high-IQ decisions on the offensive end. Coleman drove baseline and made a great pass to Green for a layup to put the Hornets up by seven with 45 seconds left in the game.

Broome returns home to the Hornets' Nest in the Baldwin Gymnasium on November 28 for a Region III matchup with Finger Lakes CC.
