The men's basketball team went on the road to #12 nationally ranked Mohawk Valley CC on Sunday and pulled off an eight point win, 88-80.

Broome responded well to a road loss at Tompkins Cortland on Thursday with a tremendous effort to earn a win on the home court of the Hawks.

This was made possible by the fact that five Hornets scored in double digits in the game. Forward Jean Senatus led the scoring with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals. Conor Holland and Quavir Coleman each had 16 points. Holland added 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals while Coleman notched a double-double with 11 rebounds. Connor Green had the second double-double on the day for Broome, tallying 13 points and 11 rebounds. Axell Camacho-Cintron was the final Hornet in double figures with 11 points and 7 assists.

After trailing by nine points entering halftime, 34-43, the Hornets outscored Mohawk Valley 54-37 in the second half to arrive at their victorious final score of 88-80. The Hornets grabbed 42 rebounds in the game while committing just seven turnovers. Broome shot 48.5% from the field and 73.9% from the free-throw line in the win.

Mohawk Valley drops to 10-7 on the year with the loss, while Broome improves to 7-12 with the win.

The Hornets are back in action at home on Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. against Onondaga CC for the first home game since the official start of the Spring semester and should expect a solid crowd in the Hornets' Nest.
