The men's basketball team played in its first game in a month on Wednesday night and delivered a strong 93-65 victory over SUNY ESF.

All five starters for the Hornets scored in double-figures, while Quavir Coleman and Cassidy Williamson-Chin combined for 16 points off the bench.

Broome was led in scoring by freshman point guard Conor Holland. He ran the show for the Hornets and finished with 20 points on a highly-effective 8-10 shooting from the field. Holland was especially impressive from three-point range, shooting 4-4. He also finished several difficult layups through traffic.

Jean Senatus continued his dominance on the interior, shooting 100% from the field and contributing 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block. Connor Green made his return to the floor after missing several games due to injury and picked up right where he left off, tallying 14 points and 13 rebounds. Green knocked in two back-to-back three-pointers in the first half and was 2-3 from the arc on the night.

Antonio Maria continued to be a leader on the offensive end of the floor for the Hornets, finishing with 17 points and getting to the basket in relentless fashion. Point guard Axell Camacho-Cintron had a strong, well-rounded game where he filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, 8 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals.

The win improved Broome's record to 4-8 on the year. This was a strong result for the Hornets against a four-year school and Division II opponent in the Mighty Oaks. SUNY ESF fell to 3-7 with the loss.

Broome will play back-to-back road games this Saturday and Sunday, against Hudson Valley CC and SUNY Adirondack, before returning home next Wednesday to host Genesee CC for a 5:00 p.m. tip off.
